Un gen clau en aquest proc\u00e9s \u00e9s ATF4, que ajuda a mantenir la integritat de l\u2019ADN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Aquest sistema \u00e9s especialment important durant el desenvolupament del cervell, quan les neurones creixen i es divideixen r\u00e0pidament.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Per\u00f2 en l\u2019esclerosi m\u00faltiple la inflamaci\u00f3 cr\u00f2nica supera la capacitat de reparaci\u00f3 i el sistema acaba fallant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Aix\u00f2 explica per qu\u00e8 algunes neurones s\u00f3n especialment vulnerables i desapareixen amb el temps.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>M\u00e9s enll\u00e0 de la mielina<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tradicionalment, l\u2019EM s\u2019ha associat sobretot amb el dany a la mielina (la capa protectora dels nervis). No obstant aix\u00f2, aquest estudi refor\u00e7a una idea cada cop m\u00e9s clara: la malaltia tamb\u00e9 afecta directament les neurones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Aix\u00f2 podria explicar s\u00edmptomes com:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Problemes cognitius<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dificultats de mem\u00f2ria<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Progressi\u00f3 de la discapacitat<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>Una nova via per a futurs tractaments<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Els investigadors apunten que protegir aquestes neurones podria ser clau per frenar la progressi\u00f3 de la malaltia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Segons els autors, aquestes c\u00e8l\u00b7lules actuen com un <\/span><b>\u201ccanari a la mina\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, \u00e9s a dir, un indicador primerenc del dany cerebral.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Si es troben maneres de reduir el dany a l\u2019ADN o millorar els mecanismes de reparaci\u00f3 es podrien desenvolupar noves ter\u00e0pies per preservar la funci\u00f3 cerebral en l\u2019EM.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tot i la import\u00e0ncia del descobriment, cal tenir en compte que els resultats provenen principalment de <\/span><b>models animals i que e<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ncara s\u2019ha de confirmar com es traslladen als humans.
