Elma Research Interview with a Dizzy

Posted on April 22, 2025 by
Dizzy and I were asked to give a little interview with Elma Research a few weeks ago, and we thought we would share it here!

We were also lucky enough to be included in FeedSpot’s 10 Best MS Blogs of 2025 this week! It’s definitely worth having a little look at, as all the blogs on there are brilliant. 🙂 xxx

We’re excited to share the latest episode of our Bridging the Gap podcast series, featuring an insightful conversation with Heather Russell-Kay, a patient advocate in the multiple sclerosis (MS) community.

Heather speaks about her personal journey with MS, from her challenging path to diagnosis to becoming an advocate helping others navigate this complex condition. She highlights critical gaps in the healthcare system, including:
????The lengthy diagnosis process many face with neurological conditions
????The need for better mental health support for those living with chronic illness
????The importance of accessible information about available resources
????The vital role that truly listening to patients plays in improving care
For healthcare professionals and pharmaceutical companies, Heather emphasises the need to place patients at the centre of treatment development and delivery, recognising that medication is just one part of a comprehensive approach to managing MS.
As we continue exploring how to improve patient experiences across different conditions, stories like Heather’s remind us why bridging communication gaps between patients, healthcare providers, and industry is so essential.
