What has this got to do with MS?
Not a lot but it in part speaks to some of my rubbish posts over the past couple of months….As you may know I was put out to grass at the end of July 2025 and not only lost my job but also my house and I have been couch surfing for the past three months…I have been from Londinium to Northumberland and it has not been easy to write meaningful posts when you have a steering wheel in your hand.
However I realise house hunting is a bit like research…some inspiration and a lot of perspiration and disappointment….in academia you get up and read through pubmed, whereas you get up and look through “righmove” for the days offerings when you are house hunting.
You see a paper that is interesting and you do research and read round the subject, you see an interesting property and you do searches for floods radon, sewers, mines, solar panels, wind farms, roads, subsidence, planning permission, building regulations etc etc. So it is research. Training to hunt for information is key, so academia prepares one for house hunting. This hunt is drawing to a close and I can then get back to doing better posts.
