Happy Friday Eve, y’all! Although I wanted to, it has been a while since I posted. I hope you have been doing well and that your week is going great up until now, but that it continues to improve. What has been the best part of your week so far? Is there anything that could make your week even better? We are thankfully closer to the weekend, so do you have anything planned for your weekend? The weather has been very pleasing lately because it has become cooler. I enjoy the colder weather because you can always add more clothing to stay comfortable, but in the summer, you cannot remove enough clothing to be comfortable.

I will skip over all the excuses. I will, however, explain the past week or so. This past Monday, the newest addition to our kitty crew, Blitzen, had her first doctor’s appointment for her kitten shots
. Blitzen’s appointment went well. Blitzen had an excellent report on how well she is doing. When we first brought Blitzen into our home, both of her little eyes were infected, so her first experience at the veterinarian’s office was to help her heal from the infection. Blitzen is thriving and a very happy kitten
, who might not have survived the infection if we had not helped her.

Unfortunately, after Blitzen’s appointment, she ended up experiencing some digestive issues that were disturbing. Four hours after we had gotten home from the veterinarian’s office, she started crying in pain because when trying to go to the bathroom, her feces got stuck. I tried doing what I thought was right by applying a warm compress to her rear end, but she screamed in pain, so I frantically called her doctor’s office and ended up driving her back. They did the exact same thing I had done, but they are trained on these issues and did a much better job. Unfortunately, the same situation happened again at 2:00 AM, and I was forced to help relieve the poor baby girl. Thankfully, since this traumatic experience, Blitzen has been doing much better. I thought the reason for her digestive problem had something to do with the stress she felt during her appointment, and according to the doctor, I was correct. It is a heartbreaking situation when there is a sweet kitten in front of you, crying in pain, and everything you can do to help seems to cause her additional pain, but after all is done, the pain is relieved.

Another thing I have been dealing with lately is additional pain, which, if I am being honest, comes with the territory of living with Multiple Sclerosis. I have always experienced leg and lower back pain, but thankfully, these issues only get truly miserable in the evenings. It has appeared that the pain in my legs is slightly different and is leaning towards sciatica. I wish I could say something helps this pain, but I would be lying. I have never been the type to sit around and complain about the pain I endure because it does not help, so I will continue to try ignoring it for as long as possible.

The end of the week is near, and we must discover ways to think more positively and find the best in all situations. It is nearly impossible to always be positive and not be overwhelmed by the hard times we face. If you are anything like me and worry about everything, I am sorry you deal with this issue, and it can be miserable. I always want to help others feel happier and increase the positivity in their lives, which is why I do pick-me-up Friday Eve posts. I never know if or how much these posts help others, but I hope they help at least one person see life in a better light. Considering I have already admitted I worry about everything in life, I want to share a quote today about not worrying about the things we have no control over. I hope this quote lifts your spirits and helps to carry you through the rest of the week. I know it is not easy, but there are many times when we must walk away from what causes us stress that we have no control over, because this will only cause us unnecessary harm and suffering.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you have had a good week and that you are looking forward to a weekend doing what makes you happy. This post was longer than my typical posts, but it has been a while since I shared anything, and I hope you found something in what I wrote useful and enjoyed it. Whatever you have planned for the weekend, please ensure that you stay safe and try doing at least one thing for yourself. As always, I look forward to reading any comments you may have and will respond as quickly as possible. Please never forget I am always sending y’all LOTS of love
, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes
!

Always, Alyssa
